Getting Ready to Party!

Tomorrow is Ellie's 2nd birthday!  I stayed up late to get her cake started and to wrap her presents.  Can you guess what she is getting?  (Hint, hint, it's a tricycle.)

State Farm Candy!

After the kids school parties we picked up Ellie and ran over to State Farm for some trick-or-treating from the doting ladies there.  This is the kids favorite place to trick-or-treat because of all of the attention and candy that they receive.
This evening we went trick-or-treating in a friend's neighborhood.  This neighborhood is the ideal place to take your little kids for Halloween.  There are kids everywhere and every house is decorated and handing out candy.  After we went around a few blocks we hung out with our friends, the Smith's, and helped them hand out candy.  Then we went to the Heaston's house for treats and friends as well.  We had a fun and exhausting day!

Ellie figured out the rewards of looking cute and saying, "tick teat."  She was thrilled with all of the candy!

Halloween Parties

Today the kids had their school Halloween Parties.  I dropped off Ellie at a friends house to take her nap while I went to play.  I went between the two parties and got to see both kids show off their costumes, play some games, and eat their treats.

Preschool Halloween Party

Today was our Halloween Party for our co-op preschool.  The kids had a great time making Jack-o-lanterns, marshmallow ghosts, and decorating cookies.

Jack-O-Lanterns

Tonight we carved our pumpkins!  The kids had fun, but of course complained about the yucky insides and how it made them itchy.  We kept Ellie entertained by letting her loose with the markers on her pumpkin (and herself!).

Ellie is sad because she got yelled at for eating markers.

Our pumpkins are a little hard to see because we used glow sticks instead of candles.

Ward Halloween Party

Here are a few pictures from our ward Halloween Party tonight.  The party was at the Walpole Family farm.  The kids had a great time playing in the hay maze, riding on the hay ride, and playing games that the youth provided.  There was also a chili and cinnamon roll contest that was super yummy.  It was pretty cold with the breeze and we were definitely ready to go after a couple of hours.  We finished off the afternoon with a trunk-or-treat.  The kids took home tons of loot!

Ellie was mad at Brent for trying to hold her during the hay ride.  She wanted to do it by herself!

Ready to go get candy!  Jacob was the Hulk, Hannah was a Butterfly Princess, and Ellie was a Bunny, "Hop, hop hop!"

Tired Ellie didn't get a nap this afternoon and promptly fell asleep on the way home.
