Museum of Nature and Science with Grandma

Today Grandma Powell took us to the Museum of Nature and Science.  We went to an IMAX show about Polar Bears in the Arctic.  We saw lots of stuffed animals, the human body area where Hannah participated in a presentation about antioxidants, dinosaur bones, and lots of other fun things.

The kids were enthralled with the dinosaur bones.  This was a gentleman who was talking to us about some of the fossils in his case.  Jacob enjoyed this part a lot!

Jacob has been asking for a snake from the zoo gift shop for months.  Well, he finally got his "Snakie" today from the museum instead.  On the drive home he fell asleep with it wrapped around his neck as a pillow.  So funny!
Hannah got a Butterfly Garden from the gift shop and is super excited about order some caterpillars soon.  Ellie got a stuffed dinosaur.

Our Ballerina

Hannah had her end of year dance recital tonight and did a beautiful job!  We were so impressed with her entire class and how nice they did.  They danced to the theme song from "Forest Gump."

Hannah kept saying that she would not be a ballerina until after her recital.  Little does she know that she started dancing years ago.  Hannah will always be our little dancer.  We are so proud of her!  We love you Hannah!

Aunt Lisa and Grandma Powell came up from Colorado Springs for the evening to watch Hannah.  They were so excited to be here and were SO proud of her!
Hannah's BFF Abby Redfearn also wanted to come and watch her dance.  She had a fun time and "enjoyed" counting down to Hannah's performance since she was near the end.
Hannah was so sad that she didn't get any flowers.  Then when we found our family she couldn't stop smiling because she got flowers too!

Our little family (minus Ellie who was at the Redfearn's house).  Jacob was sad because I was backstage helping with Hannah's dressing room of girls.

Angelyne the Amazing Deaf Cattle Dog

This is Angelyne the Amazing Deaf Cattle Dog.  This is her Facebook page.  Angelyne came to the Farr Library today to entertain the kids.  Hannah, Jacob & Ellie were all thrilled with her performance.  Eric has trained Angelyne to watch his hand signals and she responds very obediently.  Ellie is super in love with animals and kept trying to run out to pet Angelyne.  Well, she finally succeeded in getting away from me.  Most of these pictures were taken by the Farr Library.  Ellie stole the show and everyone thought she was so cute.

Ellie did great until I put her on Eric's lap and she did NOT want him to hold her.  She just wanted to pet Angelyne and was not happy with what Mommy wanted.

Tonight Ellie wanted the red flower in her hair and she wanted to wear Hannah's swimming goggles.  She was so proud of herself!  She sure does look pretty!

Updated Nose Dive Pictures

Here are some updated pictures of Ellie's owie on her nose from yesterday's nose dive into the  sidewalk.  Even with all of her bruises and scabs she is always happy!

Nose Dive!

Ellie took a nose dive off of our front step today.  She has taken to walking down steps without holding on to  anything.  She has a scrape on her nose, eye and forehead.  But, she's still HAPPY!!!

Watching TV

Jacob was watching TV today and somehow ended up lounging in this position.  The Elmo chair is upside down and his legs are resting in his dump truck.  He watched TV like this for quite a while.  It does look surprisingly comfortable!

Funny Faces

Today Jacob and I were in a silly mood.  First of all, he was thirsty so he got out the milk and proceeded to drink out of the carton (without my ever telling him that in the world of women that that is a huge no-no!).  Also, if you look closely, Jacob has his blanket stuffed into his pajamas.  He thinks he's pretty funny when he does this and looks "fat."  So, after taking some pictures of him drinking the milk out of the carton, Jacob decided to start making funny faces, and I couldn't stop taking pictures.  He sure does make me laugh!  I also caught a couple of pictures of Ellie and I while being entertained by Mr. Jacob.

 Mommy and Ellie Jean
Notice the giant scab on Jacob's chin?  Well, we were walking to the car shop to pick up our car after two days of work.  He and Hannah collided (She on her bike and he on his scooter) and he went down hard on his face and arm.  Well, Jacob didn't want to move, but I really didn't have any options for getting him home.  He cried and cried for over 1/2 hour while I tried to get him to move.  He finally bucked up and we made it to pick up the car.  Man he is stubborn!
