Memorial Day or Work Day?

It seems since we've purchased our home 2 1/2 years ago we've spent every Memorial Day working on house projects.  Today Brent and I spent ALL DAY staining the deck.  It hasn't been treated in years.  These pictures are after the sanding and it is ready to stain.  It was a long, stinky day, but it is close to being done!  We finished all of the side posts and just need to do the floor of the deck and stairs.  Hopefully I will finish up soon and I will post after photos!

Cucumbers

Jacob prides himself on doing silly things.  Today he stuffed FOUR cucumbers in his mouth all at once and proceeded to eat them.  Funny kid!

The Last Day of School

Today was the LAST day of school!  Hannah finished up kindergarten with Mrs. Riggs and Jacob finished up his first year of preschool with Mrs. Puckett.  These sweet teachers will be missed, but we are excited for summer!

Cleaning Machine

Ellie thinks she is big.  She thinks she is big enough to do big people things, like vacuum.  She has been so insistent that I finally gave in today and let the child vacuum.  Ellie was thrilled and did manage to move the big machine around without picking things up because the vacuum part never actually touched the ground.

Hmmm...strange happenings...

Today has been a funny day.  First Ellie wants to vacuum in her skivvies, then she wants Brent to hold her while he mows the lawn, and finally Jacob decides his new favorite shoes are his winter boots.  He thinks they are great for rainy days... and not so rainy days too.

What a sweet Daddy.  He is sure wrapped around her little finger!

These are just some random pictures that we took today.  Hannah was dressing up and thought that her witch costume would go great with her missing teeth!

Jacob has figured out how to roll his tongue like Mommy.  He is super talented physically and picks up things like this quickly.

Hannah lost another tooth

Hannah lost her 4th tooth yesterday!  It took a lot of work and didn't come out very easily, but she got it!  Jacob was sad because he wanted his picture taken too.  I tried to tell him that he was in the picture too, but I guess he didn't believe me.
